Position Summary
The Grants Manager will serve as the liaison between the central office, archdiocese, contracted providers, LEA schools, and non-public school administrators and assist with interpreting and communicating federal, state and local guidelines, and compliance requirements for grant funding. Assists the Directors of Grants Management in preparing and conducting timely and meaningful consultation meetings. In addition, the Grants Manager will assist the Director of Grants Management with other grant related duties as required.
Salary Range: $ 50,400 - $78,735
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains a current list of all Brumfield Dodd approved schools;
- Conducts meaningful consultation meetings with school leaders to remain compliant with federal, state, and local guidelines;
- Assists the Directors of Grants Management in consulting with nonpublic administrators and third-party providers concerning programmatic needs, and determining allowable costs;
- Assists the Directors of Grants Management in the accurate procurement of a third-party contracts; in preparation of necessary amendments to contracts; in preparation of board recommendations;
- Observes, monitors and evaluates all non-public programs and third-party providers; makes recommendations to the Executive Director of Grants Management;
- Works with Director of Finance and Grants Analyst to ensure timely reimbursements for schools;
- Provides textbook allocations, consult with vendors for quotes, input purchase requisitions into MUNIS for orders, and prepare claims for reimbursement;
- Compiles and maintains data-base/files of required district, state and federal documentation for non-public schools and LEA schools (Intent to Participate forms, Enrollment forms, Title I, II, and IV plans, and other grants as assigned);
- Works in conjunction with third-party providers to maintain current fixed asset inventory of grant purchased equipment;
- Manages aspects of instructional supplies including requisition of orders, tracking shipment, separating mass orders, distribution of supplies and storage of additional supplies;
- Assists with the eGrants Management System, amendments, applications and budgets;
- Assists in maintaining/updating Grant Programs web page on the OPSB website; and
- Performs other duties as require
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education and/or Business Administration strongly preferred or similar professional experience;
- A minimum of three years managing education related Grants Management;
- Must be computer literate and have at least average skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Demonstrated experience of the Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Excel and PowerPoint) required;
- Knowledge of the State and Federal statues and policies regulating allowable expenditures outlined in the Guidance for Funds under Title I, Part A, and Title II of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965;
- Knowledge and ability to process non-public/private school Intent to Participate forms, Enrollment forms, and School Plans in preparation for the completion of the consolidated grant application;
- Navigate the eGrants Management System (eGMS) to assist in the completion of the consolidated grants application for non-public schools;
- Ability to work well under pressure, while projecting high motivation, maintaining strict confidentiality and handling clients with tact and diplomacy;
- Ability to follow-up/follow-through on assignments is essential.

Performance Evaluation
The employee will be evaluated based on the above position using either two methods: via COMPASS or a NOLA-PS evaluating instrument. If the employee holds an Educational Leadership certification, he/she will be evaluated via COMPASS to ensure renewal of certification.
