Sales Lead - Convenience & Small-Format Retail
About The Role
We are hiring a Sales Lead to directly manage and grow Nootrobox's sales into convenience stores and other small-format retail stores. Nootrobox's GO CUBES Chewable Coffee and other products are a natural fit for the convenience store & drug store consumer, who highly values performance and convenience. You will be the key player establishing Nootrobox as a dominant national player in small-format retail. You will be joining a world-class team of 10 people at Nootrobox, working directly with the founders and leaders of other functional areas of the business.
You will be coming in at the ground floor of a fast-growing startup, responsible for both the strategy and the nitty-gritty of small-format retail sales. You will have significant room to grow the scale of your responsibilities and build out a team under you, as your org and the overall business scale.
The ideal candidate will be a star performer at a top-tier CPG company or broker, with 5+ years in small format retail (convenience, drug, etc.). You are deeply familiar with the distribution channels relevant to our business, and have experience with & passion for performance / healthy foods. You have direct experience forming high-level sales strategy, and executing that strategy as an individual salesperson. You have a clear track record and set of business contacts that reflects success at building deep & successful relationships with distributors, brokers, and retailers.

Nootrobox's business initially launched online, and as we double down on the popularity of the brand and product set, we have expanded our presence into thousands of retail stores (starting with convenience and building towards drug, grocery, club, fitness, etc.) which has multi-billion dollar potential as its own channel.
- 5+ years of experience in sales in the convenience store channel and other small format retail
- Experience working for a top-tier CPG brand in the performance / health food space (eg, Cliff, Kind, Gatorade, Five Hour Energy, Quest Bar, Monster, etc.).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding assigned sales objectives.
- Expert understanding of the broker and distributor networks.
- Expert at negotiating and closing business deals, navigating multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
- Available to travel and represent Nootrobox at industry conferences and corporate meetings.
- Passion for biohacking and excitement for the Nootrobox mission of enhancing humanity.
- Experience hiring, training, and managing a high-performing sales team.
