To achieve a long-term technical strategy with the right direction, Engineering Leadership department collaborates with other departments on legal, financial, and other matters. We are a group of experts renowned for taking calculated risks that lead to breakthroughs and knowledge-sharing within the community.

Main Responsibilities

    • Analyse, propose and manage budgets, technologies and resources for deliveries;
    • Plan strategies for the development of designs and products on schedule and on budget;
    • Communicate and collaborate with other engineering managers, product owners and stakeholders ;
    • Prioritise, delegate and supervise all engineers’ activities and deliverables;
    • Manage, support, and evaluate engineers’ performance;
    • Hire new talent for the team, embrace a growth mindset, offer coaching and development opportunities for the team;
    • Help to define and maintain hiring process - contribute to technical task, feedback forms, technical interviews;
    • Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions, when needed;
    • Contribute to processes and tooling improvements (releases, issues, sentry for example);
    • Track engineering metrics and quality within squad and strive to improve them;
    • Ensure documentation is up to date and being maintained;
    • Help the team to identify technical debt and issues that reduce productivity;
    • Together with other Engineering managers and Head of Engineering align the processes used within the Tribe;
    • Assist team and drive research process when needed for new features;
    • Define and maintain internal standards such as: code style, maintainability, scalability, testability;
    • Contribute to and drive product architecture;
    • Consult PO(s) and team members on the best technical/available solution for the problem;
    • Assist to take best decisions on tech stack;
    • Align on technical questions and business requirements from the guild with the Head of Engineering;
    • Share business requirements with a guild.

Core Requirements

    • Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development;
    • Foster decision-making and, when necessary, deal with risk and ambiguity;
    • Software development experience in building web services and highly scalable applications;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Managed a team of 10+ engineers;
    • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.


Salary Range

    • Gross Salary 4960-7280 EUR/Month.
