Novoloop is an emerging leader in plastic circularity, transforming post-consumer plastic waste into the world’s first chemically upcycled performance materials. Novoloop was founded in 2015 and is a venture-backed start-up that has raised $25M to date. Headquartered in Menlo Park, California, Novoloop is currently scaling up to its first commercial manufacturing facility to use its patented ATOD (Accelerated Thermal Oxidative Decomposition) technology to manufacture performance materials for the footwear, electronics, and automotive industries.


We’re seeking an Operations Associate to support the improvement of our labs and offices.  You will be responsible for a wide range of internal and external facing coordination of facilities, people-related process development and improvement, events planning and execution, and administration. This role will work with every group in the company and is highly cross-functional. The successful candidate has 2+ years of startup operations experience and can start and finish projects in a self-directed manner. An associate’s or college degree is required.

This is a full-time position in Menlo Park, CA, with a competitive salary and stock options. Priority will be given to local (Bay Area) applicants with the status for US employment.

What You'll Do

- Site/Facilities
1. Keep our sites running like a smoothly oiled machine: order and stock supplies, maintain order, and report on status for office spaces, common areas and some parts of our lab areas. 
2. Site upgrades and construction: plan for new offices, lab space and meeting spaces; relocate furniture and assets from one site to another as needed; review janitorial service performance. 
3. Site upgrades: install displays and visuals; make spaces more comfortable, functional, and professional (e.g. AV and IT setup, organizers, shelving, storage, security, etc.); update internal communications online and in hard copy.
4. Track equipment: track what’s ordered, what’s en route, what’s delivered; send vendor reminders and ask for tracking info; coordinate delivery/receiving (rigger, forklift, truck access); update equipment list and value for each lab to update insurance coverage; update amperage use after new equipment is added to each site.

- People-related Processes
1. Improve existing processes and establish new ones to increase efficiency, improve communication, and reduce cost/time
2. Get employee buy-in on adopting new procedures and implement rollout strategy
3. Create tutorial and/or announcement to show the team how to follow new procedures

- Events & Amenities
1. Create and execute custom-themed events with the team.
2. Order, procure, prepare and clean up lunches.
3. Prepare the site, the setup, the employees, and any contractors for important company-wide events: e.g. All-Hands, Town Halls, presentations, celebrations, guest speakers, investor tours, filming sessions, etc.

- Administration
1. Finalize posters/visuals for printing: check for grammar/spelling errors, check for content visual clarity and alignment, ensure nothing will be cut off in the desired dimensions, submit to printing services, pick-up printed materials, and secure them in desired locations. 
2. Organize files and folders on Google Drive as directed.
3. Source products, vendors and service providers.
4. Contact vendor support to troubleshoot problems when needed.
5. Complete other activities and tasks to support the company.
