Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in our expansion efforts, identifying potential new build projects and navigating the complexities of government grant applications to secure funding. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and exceptional communication to foster relationships with community stakeholders, government officials, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Market Research and Strategy Development: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify underserved areas and opportunities for new fiber broadband infrastructure projects. Develop strategies to prioritize and target these opportunities based on potential impact and feasibility.
    • Government Grants and Funding: Take the lead on identifying, applying for, and managing government grants and funding opportunities that support broadband infrastructure projects. Stay abreast of federal, state, and local funding programs and requirements.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local governments, community leaders, and potential partners, to support project development and funding efforts.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure project feasibility, compliance, and alignment with company goals.
    • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on industry trends, funding opportunities, and project progress. Use data and insights to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade various stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of broadband infrastructure, fiber-optic technology, and related regulatory environments is a plus.
