Numeral is a payment technology provider that enables fintechs and banks to launch new products, expand geographically, and scale their operations with Numeral's cloud-native, API-first payments platform.
We develop and run direct integrations with a network of 30+ partner banks (incl. BNP Paribas, Barclays, Citi, HSBC, LHV, Banking Circle…) that can all be accessed through a single API, webhooks, and dashboard.
Customers include leading as well as up-and-coming fintechs like Spendesk, Swile, Alma, WorldFirst, Argentex, Deblock, and 20 others. We have processed 2m payments since our first payment in 2023 and will process more than 10m payments over the next 12 months.

The role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help drive our cloud infrastructure forward. If you are passionate about automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud technologies, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement.
Responsibilities
- Managing and optimizing our AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters to support our application deployment needs.
- Developing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate provisioning and scaling of cloud resources.
- Monitoring system health and performance with Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana ensuring proactive issue resolution and maintaining service reliability.
- Collaborating closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure smooth and secure delivery of infrastructure solutions.
- Applying best practices in security by design to safeguard both public and internal APIs.
- Identifying and addressing architectural challenges to simplify processes and enhance system performance.
- Conducting code reviews and mentoring peers to maintain high standards of code quality.
- Defining and executing a technical roadmap to improve infrastructure scalability, team efficiency, and reduce technical debt.
Profile
- Experience in cloud infrastructure management, particularly with AWS, including hands-on experience with services such as EC2, S3, EKS, DynamoDB and RDS.
- Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters, with a strong understanding of container orchestration and scaling in production environments.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools, particularly Terraform, and a solid grasp of infrastructure automation best practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools, particularly Datadog, Prometheus and Grafana to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Strong focus on security, with a deep understanding of best practices for securing cloud environments and infrastructure.
- A proactive and autonomous work style, with the ability to identify potential improvements and take initiative to drive them forward.
- Nice to have: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation, particularly with GitLab and Kubernetes for continuous integration and deployment in a context of Golang services.
- Nice to have: previous experience in high-availability, large-scale environments, particularly in SaaS platforms.
