Position Overview:
We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and experienced Director of Social Media to lead nuuds’ social presence across platforms. This role will own the full social media ecosystem — from high-level strategy to day-to-day execution — and will be instrumental in driving brand awareness, community engagement, and revenue growth. You will build and manage a talented in-house team and collaborate closely with Creative, Marketing, and Product to bring our brand to life online.

Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive, brand-aligned social media strategy across all key platforms
    • Lead and mentor the social media team; provide strategic direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
    • Translate brand objectives into data-driven social campaigns that grow community, drive engagement, and increase conversions.
    • Oversee end-to-end content production — from ideation and planning through creation, copywriting, publishing, and optimization.
    • Ensure consistent brand voice, visual identity, and storytelling across channels.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Photography and Video teams to develop content tailored to each platform.
    • Own the monthly and quarterly social media calendar, aligning content with product launches, marketing initiatives, seasonal moments, and cultural trends.
    • Launch and manage multi-channel social campaigns, influencer activations, and product teasers.
    • Monitor performance metrics and platform analytics to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.
    • Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities based on KPIs such as engagement, follower growth, CTR, and ROI.

Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record in leading social strategies for consumer brands.
    • Deep, hands-on knowledge of all major social platforms, with the ability to adapt to emerging channels and trends.
    • Experience managing and mentoring social media teams.
    • Strong copywriting skills with a flair for storytelling, caption writing, and brand voice.
    • Proven ability to craft engaging content and lead creative direction with an eye for visual detail.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-informed, test-and-learn environment.
    • Experience in fashion, lifestyle, beauty, or DTC e-commerce strongly preferred.
    • Bonus: Familiarity with social media tools such as Later, Sprout, Dash Hudson, or similar.
