Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this position is responsible for content creation and outbound communications. We are a fast-growing startup looking for a candidate who can accelerate the enterprise sales cycle by educating customers and communicating our unique value. You will own both creating the content and ensuring it reaches the right audience through all channels.
We are looking for someone who can write. The Product Marketing Manager is instrumental in translating technical and product information into plain language that inspires and clearly communicates value. You need to be able to adapt the message to different customer roles and personas.
A successful candidate will be able to address the needs of three related, but unique, audiences: customers, partners, and our sales team. This may require creating unique pieces of content or modifying existing content for the appropriate audience/channel. We reach our audiences through multiple channels including direct sales, partners, events, press, social media, email, and the website. You will be responsible for ensuring the website is organized with content that is useful, and easy to find and consume.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working within the high technology (preferably networking and/or security) market as well as demonstrable proficiency in creating content. You should understand how content marketing works and integrates with lead generation efforts. This is a hands-on position, not for a candidate who expects to delegate to freelance contractors. You should be proficient in PowerPoint and familiar with Adobe Creative Suite; experience with video creation/editing tools is a plus. Daily activities will include, but are not limited to:
o   Writing and producing customer facing content and collateral
o   Creating and maintaining sales tools
o   Developing presentations for sales and executive teams
o   Managing content on the company website
o   Creating content for virtual and physical events: conferences, webinars, etc.
o   Promotional messaging for digital channels (i.e. social media and email)
o   Supporting product announcements and launches
o   Measuring effectiveness of content with appropriate analytics tools
o   5 to 7 years of hands-on product marketing experience within a high technology environment with an emphasis on content creation
o   Demonstrated strong writing ability
o   Strong organizational, internal and external communication skills
o   Undergraduate BA or BS degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, or business
This is a full-time position at our corporate headquarters with full benefits and a salary of $120K+ commensurate with experience.
