NY State Solar is continuing our rapid growth and expanding our Installation Crew. We are now working throughout Long Island and NY Boroughs. The ideal candidate will be experienced with solar or roof installations, work well outdoors, feel comfortable working on a roof, be able to lift 50+ pounds, and follow safety policies and procedures. Hourly pay is based on experience, but we are willing to train.
NY State Solar designs and installs quality solar systems. We are experts in the Industry and provide the best service to homeowners throughout the region.

Duties of a Solar Installer:
Assemble job components.
Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware.
Mechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
Basic electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC).
Ensure proper clean-up of the job site.
Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety.
Responsible for following the safe work practices for the installation team.
All other assignments and special projects, as requested by Management.
Qualifications of a Solar Installer:
Qualified candidates for this position must have:
Must be comfortable with being on roofs with pitched surfaces for extended periods of time
Cannot have a fear of heights
Ability to lift 50-70 pound ladders
Ability to work in extreme weather (hot and sunny as well as colder temperatures)
Ability to climb ladders/stairs
Driver's license required
OSHA 10 required
A Solar Installer is eligible for:
