The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE 2/3) with expertise in Electron to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for building high-performance, resilient applications for Windows, Chromebook, and Mac platforms. Additionally, you will contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of our screen recording application, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, security, and quality.
What You will do as a Software Development Engineer 2/3 (Frontend, Desktop)
- Develop high-performance, resilient applications for Windows, Chromebook, and Mac platforms using Electron.
- Utilize expertise in profiling desktop applications on low-end devices to optimize performance and resource utilization.
- Leverage your experience with ReactJS and NodeJS to implement efficient and scalable solutions.
- Design and build browser plugins/extensions to enhance the functionality of our applications.
- Ensure familiarity with protocols used for implementing video-based microarchitecture services, including WebRTC.
- Bonus: Demonstrate knowledge of canvas and media stream technologies.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Electron development, with a strong understanding of its internals and architecture.
- Experience with ReactJS and NodeJS, including building complex applications and APIs.
- Strong understanding of browser plugin/extension development.
- Familiarity with protocols used for implementing video-based microarchitecture services, including WebRTC.
- Bonus: Knowledge of canvas and media stream technologies.
