Kraken Technologies is a company within Octopus Energy Group who are licensing our Kraken platform to energy suppliers globally. Current clients are EDF, EON Next, Origin, Plenitude and Tokyo Gas - with many more expected to join over the next few years.

What will you be doing?
We are currently implementing Kraken into a large Japanese client, and are looking to expand the team leading operational transformation alongside the platform implementation. 

The Client Implementation Lead will cover both the operating model e.g. how things are organised and get done around here, as well as the operating environment with direct responsibility for coordinating, managing, building, and delivering Kraken’s cultural change programmes alongside our client. They will need to work in partnership with the technology teams, Product Managers, and client teams. 

The Client Implementation Leads: live & breathe the Kraken ways of working, identify problems, create solutions, workshops and training, and effectively communicate these to our clients. They will bring technology, people, and processes together to innovate business cultural change for our clients.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

    • Aiding in the operations transformation of clients:
    • Collaborate with the wider Kraken Technologies Implementation team and clients to develop and deliver a wider range of cultural transformation programmes, including leadership development and coaching.
    • Develop training programs and materials to support the onboarding and ongoing development of clients.
    • Aid in the creation of plans, timelines, and resources required for successful deployment
    • Keeping track of project progress, escalating issues, and resolving blockers when they arise.

    • Coaching and workshop delivery:
    • Work closely with the wider Kraken Tech team to deliver coaching and mentorship to clients as part of their operational transformation journeys
    • Prepare and deliver workshop content for training groups and leadership development
    • Work with the client to identify needs-based operational analysis and help them translate this into programmes to deliver to their teams

    • We are a fast-growing company that is rapidly expanding globally and travel may be required. 
    • You will work incredibly dynamically, and this role is one that will take different shapes throughout the week. We are looking for well-rounded individuals who are comfortable with ambiguity, are self-starters and willing to roll their sleeves up to work directly with clients. 
    • You must be committed to the Kraken way of delivering agile operations based on freedom, autonomy and trust that coexists with a simplified, evolving technology platform. 
    • You must be willing to challenge beliefs, have the ability to see through multiple viewpoints and, if needed, reach beyond your remit to support the client.

    • Key Skills that are needed
    • Curiosity and initiative:  If you have an eye for detail, enjoy self learning and aren't afraid to "try and see" then this is the job for you. Supported by a fab team, this is an independent role where success relies on you trusting your gut and taking initiative. 
    • Time Management: Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as working as a team to deliver projects. You should be able to effectively plan your time and prioritise tasks and the client. 
    • Influential Communicator: Comfortable communicating the Kraken way of thinking and to provide updates on feature developments. Can lead meetings and drive forward the development strategy within your domain. Can build supporting slides, Gantt charts, and flow diagrams to aid this.
    • Patience: Our clients are going through significant change, and you need to be able to support them through that curve at a pace that can sometimes feel slower than you might expect.  Explanations will need patience and repetition. However, you will also need to be flexible with making changes to programmes and approaches where there is a territory specific need. 

What you'll have

    • Fluent in both Japanese and English 
    • Experience in working on client transformation projects
    • Experience in coaching and/or delivery of workshops and training
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills 
    • Proficient in tools such as asana, miro and office suite
