Octopus Energy has grown exponentially in its short history. It is now a complex multi-billion turnover international group, which participates in multiple industry verticals including retail utilities, utilities management, generation, EV leasing and software sales.

We are committed to innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. As part of our growth strategy, we are implementing NetSuite to streamline our finance operations and improve efficiency. We are seeking a seasoned NetSuite Administrator to play a key role in this initiative.

Its legacy business management applications are at the limit of their capacity and capability. A new enterprise resource planning tool (ERP) is required to both provide a finance back bone for the Group, and to integrate information flows and insights across the group. Oracle’s NetSuite SAAS platform has been selected for this task. 

This role will be pivotal in ensuring the ongoing success of NetSuite for the Group and is key to maintaining appropriate systems controls that reflect the Group’s segregation of duties.
 

What you'll do

    • Maintaining user access and roles, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties and identification of potential weaknesses in segregation of duties
    • Maintaining the Group Chart of Accounts, subsidiary structure and segments
    • Customising and maintaining reports, dashboards, and saved searches
    • Developing and and maintaining process documents and training materials related to NetSuite processes and usage
    • Training new end-users and providing ongoing training for existing end-users
    • Identifying potential for improvements within the NetSuite and within internal processes
    • Actively participating in UAT for rollout of NetSuite across business units
    • Troubleshooting problems including system interface/integration issues
    • Keeping NetSuite up-to-date by testing and implementing system updates and new functionality
    • Assisting in the process of selecting, setting up, implementing, and monitoring new features, functionalities, and add-ons

What you'll need

    • 3+ years of relevant NetSuite system administration experience
    • Experience supporting core financial processes (P2P, O2C, R2R)
    • NetSuite Certification (Administrator or SuiteFoundation) is advantageous
    • A drive to get more out of Octopus’s NetSuite investment, and to continuously improve
