We are looking for a passionate People Operations Specialist who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll help us shape key areas such as; managing payroll programs, identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks, and drafting guidance that align with global initiatives. We are a flat and agile organisation and plan to remain this way. We are looking for a hands-on People Operations Specialist that can help build our capability across our business as we continue to grow. Our People Operations Specialist is here to solve complex problems with great solutions. 

What you will do:

    • Work closely with the leadership team, local employees, and global people operations team to identify local employment, labour relations, and compliance risks 
    • Create and revise company guidance ensuring they align with our culture, business goals and comply with regulatory standards
    • Collaborate with our external partners across People Ops to make sure we're working efficiently and fast whilst keeping our standards high  
    • Be the APAC ambassador in the global engagement working group and support on rolling out initiatives locally
    • Identifying improvement opportunities and taking charge of process improvement projects - making things easier, more streamlined and more efficient
    • Ensure we are constantly reviewing and adapting to business needs
    • Responsible for drafting and sending employment contracts to successful candidates
    • Create employee profiles on our HRIS (Hibob) in a timely manner and uphold our people data accuracy for new hires
    • Potential to expand remit to rest of APAC

What you will have:

    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect and collaborate with people around the world to support ongoing improvements and operational success.
    • You’re great at managing multiple tasks. While no one’s perfect, you’ve got a knack for juggling priorities and staying focused on what really matters.
    • Outstanding organizational skills, with a talent for prioritizing and an eye for detail.
    • A mindset geared towards continuous improvement, and you’re always thinking creatively to find new solutions.
    • Passionate about enhancing the experience of those around you.
    • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the challenges it brings.
    • Native level of Japanese, fluency in English

    • Bonus skills:
    • Experience with employment laws, labour relations and compliance in Japan
    • People Operations with expertise in development initiatives, change management and employee relations
    • Proven track record in managing People operational initiatives, which involve system applications, risk management and mitigation, as well as facilitating change management, communication strategies, and support training programs where necessary
