At Octopus Energy Services we are executing phenomenal growth plans to bring low carbon heating to customer's homes. We are building a UK-wide team of engineers that will inspire our customers and give them the tools to fight climate change.

We are seeking Talent Logistics Coordinators to facilitate and coordinate the controlled rush of supplying our growing ranks with the tools and support they will need to install greener technology in thousands of homes.  You will be responsible for planning and coordinating all logistical elements of onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires receive a positive and smooth introduction to our business.

The Talent Logistics Coordinator is responsible for executing a smooth and efficient onboarding and orientation experience for all new trades hires.

This role will require regular travel to our Edinburgh, Hinckley, Slough training centers, and any other location where we train in the future. 

What you'll do

    • Coordinate scheduling and booking of training venues and manage enrollment in required trade testing/assessment centres
    • Confirm training schedules so inductions are to capacity with new talent
    • Collaborate with recruitment team to understand hiring pipeline and anticipate upcoming training needs
    • Arrange accommodations for multi-day onboarding/induction sessions
    • Prepare and distribute new hire equipment including phones, vehicles, tools, and PPE
    • Order additional trade inventory like specialty tools and consumables
    • Facilitate setup of payroll, compliance, and credential tracking systems
    • Resolve any last-minute onboarding issues
    • Schedule required eLearning modules and confirm completion
    • Organise badge and ID card preparation and distribution
    • Ensure seamless onboarding experience by partnering with stakeholders on new hire orientation and induction
    • Be the face of our brand, and role model our values on day one of a candidates onboarding journey.

What you'll need

    • Background in skilled trades, particularly knowledge of electrical licensing processes (desirable)
    • Excellent planning and organisational abilities
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to adapt and thrive in high volume, rapidly changing environment
    • Customer service orientation with empathy and enthusiasm
    • Collaborative team player across multiple departments
