Join Octopus Energy's Platform Team and Help Shape the Future of Renewable Energy
As an intern in the Development Platform Team, you’ll support the management of our fund’s investments across renewable energy platforms in Europe, Asia, and North America. These platforms span onshore wind, solar, battery storage, and offshore wind.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to renewable energy investments, business operations, and financial analysis in a fast-paced and growing sector.
This role offers hands-on experience in renewable energy investment management, with the opportunity to develop key skills in financial analysis, governance, and strategic portfolio oversight.
What You'll Do
- Assist the team in their day-to-day oversight of our platform companies, including supporting monthly and quarterly governance meetings.
- Analyse and monitor platform company performance across key metrics such as pipeline delivery, risks, project timelines, financial performance, cash flow, and spending.
- Shadow the team’s engagement with management teams to gather insights and build relationships.
- Support internal reporting on investment performance, ensuring key stakeholders have visibility on risks and opportunities.
What You'll Need
- To be someone with a strong interest in renewable energy and business operations.
- To have some knowledge of the renewable energy sector and its key technologies.
- To have strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word.
- To be an excellent communicator and have relationship-building abilities.
- To be someone with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
