We are now looking for a permanent part time, designer, based in Wellington to join our team for three days per week. More about the role

You will have a minimum 3 years experience and have great graphic design skills across digital visual communications and appropriate software expertise. We are after someone who is particularly passionate about generating engaging content across social media and owned channels and is not afraid to share ideas and get stuck in and try something new.

You will create relevant and engaging visual creative and content to attract and retain customers across our marketing, sales and internal channels. This includes creating new and innovative ways to express our brand and message across all media.

You would need to be comfortable working dynamically where speed to market is prioritised. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing to ideate, develop and execute visual communications and content that adheres to the business objectives and the global brand guidelines.

There is room to flex your creativity in this role. It’s not just about taking a brief and delivering final designs. You are also encouraged to come up with new ways of communicating our brand story and offer, particularly across social channels. If you enjoy coming up with innovative ideas to enhance a brand's presence in market, then this is the role for you!

This means you will have:

    • 3+ years experience in graphic design
    • Experience creating visual communications for creative marketing, advertising and storytelling for brands
    • Specific software expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite including, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and familiar with Figma
    • Experience working with digital publishing and working with SMTP services such as SendGrid, and experience with HTML
    • Photography and/or video skills a bonus, but not essential
    • Copywriting skills a bonus, but not essential
    • A passionate multitasker who enjoys being on the tools as well as thinking more creatively to ideate and develop concepts
    • Attention to detail and self-motivated

Key responsibilities

    • Visual communications - creating content for promotional campaigns, owned channels, EDM and internal channels whilst maintaining brand consistency throughout everything we do
    • Strong focus on social media visual design and concept creation
    • Storytelling - telling our brand story through product, design and people
    • Digital publishing - design and set up of EDMs
    • Shoot and edit photography, if applicable
    • Strong teamwork - ability to take a brief through to completion, as well as initiating Ideas or concepts for new ways of telling our brand story
    • Grow your understanding of our target audience and proposition to develop relevant and appealing creative solutions
    • Copywriting skills where required
