We’re making electric vehicle ownership as smart and as simple as possible, by building the giant, virtual charging platform of the future.

In just over two years, Octopus Electroverse has grown to become one of the largest eMobility players in Europe, with over 650,000 connected electric vehicle chargers and a customer ecosystem spanning web, iOS, Android, CarPlay, Android Auto & Automotive OS, and more.

But it’s just the start: we’re busy launching in new countries, working with more automotive and tech partners, building exciting new features at scale, and creating the integrated charging experiences of the future - all in the name of making public EV charging super simple for customers.

Electroverse is a multifunctional team made up of product, development, commercial, operations, marketing, partnerships and more - all focused together on making Octopus the go-to name in EV charging. And we’re looking for smart individuals with an interest in the space who can help us make it happen.

About the Role...

We are looking for a commercially experienced leader, with a track record of scaling new propositions and getting stuck into delivery. Reporting to the Director of Electroverse, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to help ensure the success of our Fleet offering. 

In a single day you could blend strategic oversight, scope customer needs, take financial and legal decisions, create new sales channels, help design new products from scratch, and find and negotiate with industry partners. We’re looking for someone who enjoys variety, and can keep wider vision and priorities in mind whilst diving in (and out!) of required detail. Whilst we’re not looking for a specific background, you’re a strong generalist who brings good commercial instinct, an understanding of customer experience, marketing principles and unit economics, and a constant focus on delivery. 

The eMobility industry and Electroverse as a product are rapidly expanding, and are a hugely important part of decarbonising the planet - you’ll have big responsibility from day one and really help influence how we scale the business. 

What You'll Do...

    • Take the lead on Electroverse’s B2B fleet solutions, overseeing growth and product expansion. You’re excited that a big part of its success will lie in your hands
    • Identify, plan and deliver new product elements to widen the appeal and uptake of the Octopus fleet offering
    • Be willing to get stuck in to the detail and delivery when improving the product and launching new customer propositions 
    • Provide strategic guidance and focus to the wider team engaged on delivering Octopus’s fleet product: e.g. colleagues in technical, product, and operational roles 
    • Identify, engage and contract with partners as part of growing the product: for example you may partner with hardware installation companies or payment providers 
    • Monitor performance through reporting & analytics - and help shape how these insights should grow 
    • Liaise across Octopus Energy Group to cement and grow cross-group opportunities, e.g. energy services, vehicle leasing etc. 
    • Work closely with senior colleagues to evaluate strategic and ad-hoc opportunities, e.g. international applications, acquisitions, large partnerships etc.

We would prefer someone who can work in our London office but will consider remote candidates. However, you do need to be able to work in the UK.
