Offchain Labs has developed a suite of scaling solutions for Ethereum. This includes Arbitrum, an Optimistic Rollup, that instantly scales apps, reducing costs and increasing capacity, without sacrificing Ethereum's security. Porting contracts to Arbitrum requires no code changes or downloads since it’s compatible with existing Ethereum developer languages and tooling. Arbitrum today is the leading Ethereum scaling solution with dominant market share including hundreds of apps on the platform and over 40% of all rollup liquidity. Offchain labs also contributes to the Ethereum core protocol with the Prysm consensus client.

Our team is extremely passionate and works tirelessly to bridge the gap between what blockchain is and what blockchain can be. We strive to maintain an atmosphere that fosters innovation and new ideas through collaboration, research, and deep discussions. After raising an initial round of $3.8M in seed funding in January 2019 and a $20M series A, as well as a $100M series B in 2021, we are ready to hire additional team members who have an interest in working in the blockchain space and a knack for approaching problems in unconventional ways.

As part of the Product team at Offchain Labs, you will get to work with leaders in the blockchain space solving novel technical, economic, and social challenges. In this role you’ll help drive the roadmap for critical on-chain journeys. From on-chain governance, to bridging between chains, you will help ensure that the growing ecosystem of chains and applications have the standard functionality they need to succeed and grow. You’ll collaborate closely with our full-stack engineering team, third-party teams in the Arbitrum ecosystem, and company leaders, including our CTO and Head of Product.

What You’ll Do:

    • Build out and deliver against a governance-focused roadmap — improving the flexibility and security of the standard on-chain & off-chain mechanisms that Arbitrum chains can utilize, and advocating for structural changes across the ecosystem.
    • Develop and manage a modular governance system that Arbitrum chains can adopt generally, ensuring that all chains can efficiently upgrade/change their protocol, across a variety of ownership structures.
    • Drive improvements to user-facing products like the Arbitrum Bridge and Portal, increasing the value they provide to users and projects across the Ethereum ecosystem.
    • Proactively identify requirements at a technical and non-technical level to ensure product success — from docs, to ecosystem infrastructure, to granular front-end details.
    • Work closely with our engineering teams, helping to synthesize feedback from projects and users, overall changes in the market landscape, and underlying technical considerations to prioritize development work.
    • Work with our marketing and partnerships teams to build and deliver successful narratives and messaging for new product launches and protocol changes.
    • Integrate across the company, ensuring that our engineering, design, marketing, partnerships, and other teams are tightly aligned.

Who You Are:

    • Experience: 3-5 years in a PM role or a closely related technical capacity.
    • Crypto Native: You are deeply embedded in on-chain culture, use dApps in your everyday life, and pay close attention to the Ethereum community – across the technical discussions and degen opportunities.
    • Communication Maven: Stellar written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable influencing and collaborating with individuals across the organization.
    • Technical & Business Acumen: Capable of diving deep into the technical details while keeping an eye on the broader business objectives.
    • Team Player: Flexible, dependable, and thrives in ambiguous situations. Takes ownership when needed.
    • Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science or an Engineering field. Alternatively, hands-on experience in building software products, be it through personal projects or professional ventures.
    • Industry Experience: A history of shipping production-grade software, especially targeted at a developer audience. Familiarity with software development processes is crucial. Prior experience at a fast-growing tech company or a software startup is a big plus.
    • Working at a protocol team in the blockchain industry is a plus.
    • Working on distributed systems as a technical contributor is a plus.

Perks:

    • Remote first global workforce.
    • Accrued Time off for Vacation and dedicated Sick Leave.
    • Industry or role-based conference attendance support.
    • Ergonomic Equipment Matching Program.
    • Company issued laptop.
    • Annual Company Offsite.
