About the Role
Ogury are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager based in France to join our Platform Tools Team localised in France and Europe.
This opportunity is open to remote applicants based in France.
The Platform Tools organization at Ogury comprises 15-20 software engineers responsible for managing all web applications, including a campaign manager, a publisher administration module, and insights and reporting tools. The tribe’s mission is to modernize the suite of web tools developed over Ogury’s first decade, consolidating them into a single platform to enhance internal efficiency and make these tools accessible to external clients.
What you will be doing
- Report directly to the Director of Software Engineering, who oversees the Platform Tools Tribe.
- Divide your time across key responsibilities: 50% roadmap alignment and execution, 30% people management, and 20% hands-on technical work.
- Serve as the people manager for a team of ~7 software engineers located across France and Europe, with responsibilities including hiring, team development, and performance management.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define and execute the product roadmap.
- Manage the team’s scope of work, ensuring the maintenance of systems, adherence to project timelines, optimal resource allocation, and the delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation by identifying and driving technical initiatives in partnership with senior engineers within the tribe.
- Advocate for and implement best practices in engineering to enhance efficiency, quality, stability, and scalability of the platform.
- Actively contribute to key initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes.
About you
- Leadership and team management skills, with experience managing software engineering teams which are diverse, with a strong ownership and a positive mindset
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management tools, with experience executing technical and product roadmaps
- Experience in fullstack software development on web applications, with a proficiency in Javascript, and experience working with DevOps practices and cloud platforms.
- Proficient in NodeJS, ReactJS and TypeScript.
- Proficient with English (French is not mandatory)
