Full-time
We're looking to hire an experienced People Leader to own everything People related. You will report directly to the CEO and serve as a partner to all levels of the business. You are a hands-on leader, excited to roll up your sleeves and build out your team as the company scales.

What you will do:

    • Partner with CEO and members of the leadership team to develop, communicate, and execute a holistic People strategy and program that are appropriate for a diverse employee population.
    • Oversee the development of our DEI initiatives, ensuring that the company is educated, engaged, and actively building a culture of inclusion & belonging.
    • Launch a Performance Management and feedback program that rewards excellence and promotes continuous learning through 360 feedback, centered around company values.
    • Develop and coach our current and prospective people managers on effective management and feedback practices.
    • Create and implement people metrics and use this data to drive changes in our people strategy.
    • Work with our legal counsel and finance teams to oversee legal and regulatory topics that relate to People Operations, including compliance, benefits, immigration/international, and other employment-related topics - both proactively to build a foundation as well as reactively to manage issues that arise.
    • Spearhead ongoing organizational initiatives that enable and improve company culture as we grow and scale.
    • Hire, coach, and develop the People team over time to grow to be 'best in class' and deliver impactful projects and initiatives.

What you have:

    • 7-10+ years of experience across various HR/People roles. 3+ years of management experience.
    • A business partner - with strong business and commercial acumen - you find the intersections between business & people strategy.
    • Experience, ability, and desire to cover the wide range of engineering/technology teams to hourly/field operations staff.
    • A doer: strategy is important, but you will be the first HR hire and execution needs to be a welcome part of the day-to-day.
    • Alignment with our values: Celebrate Feedback, Deliver Consistently, Learn the Human, and Change the Game.
    • A believer in innovation - best practices are important but has a bias toward creative solutions that meet the requirements of the business.
    • High-EQ and discretion.
    • Ability to work in ambiguity and anticipate challenges and solutions before they arise.

Bonus Points for:

    • Passion for interior design & home category
    • HR Certification - SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR-CA / SPHR-CA
    • Experience scaling an early-stage, high-growth company across the full employee cycle, including recruiting, onboarding, and development
