Job
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to lead our financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis functions. This role is critical in supporting our growth objectives, optimizing financial performance, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning within the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar energy development and leasing.
What You'll Do
- At Omnidian we believe in trust and autonomy. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you’ll be doing:
- Lead the development and management of quarterly and annual budgets, long-term financial plans
- Assist in the creation of a centralized three-statement financial model with business unit segmentation
- Including the creation of a model to forecast lease revenues, interest expense, expected FMV values based on market and ITC levels for management reporting, and GAAP forecast
- Assist in creating top-line company financial metrics and targets
- Lead monthly financial package creation with monthly financial results, financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities with detailed variance analysis
- Assist in quarterly board meeting materials
- Maintain and improve data infrastructure relating to assets under management and pricing
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and analysis functions
- Leverage technology and data analytics to improve financial reporting and forecasting capabilities

Experience You'll Need
- Ideally, candidates will come from renewable energy or similar asset-based industries. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA is desirable but not required.
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible finance and operational experience.
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement financial controls, operating plans, budgets, and projections.
- Basic knowledge of renewable tax structuring, ideally partnership flip and leasing structures.
- Strong model development and spreadsheet skills.
- Knowledge of data systems is strongly desired.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level decision-makers
- Ability to easily work cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, Legal, and Asset Management groups.
