We are seeking a Sales Engineer to add to its US Federal Team based in Washington, D.C.  As a Sales Engineer, you will be the trusted technical advisor that prospective clients rely upon when evaluating and demonstrating how OmniSci solves their big data analytics challenges.  You will identify client pain points and drive technical alignment between those needs and the OmniSci platform. As part of the federal team, you will serve as a product and industry expert, effectively describing and demonstrating the solution while also promoting our vision and approach.  OmniSci Sales Engineers are instrumental to a positive customer journey and growth of the company. Candidates with previous experience working with data as a Business Intelligence Analyst or Data Analyst that have moved into the Sales Engineering space are strongly preferred. Our corporate HQ office is located in downtown San Francisco.  This is a remote position based in Washington, D.C. with a flexible workspace in Bethesda, MD. This position will report to the VP of Federal Sales as an individual contributor and can expect growth opportunities as the company and federal team grows.


    • Obtain a deep understanding of OmniSci’s technology and be open to learning new technologies as needed.
    • Articulate OmniSci’s value proposition to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Engage with prospects and clients to demonstrate and communicate the value of OmniSci throughout the sales cycle - from demo to proof of concept.
    • Work closely with the product management and engineering teams to align client requirements with product roadmaps and enhancements.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of the big data and analytics ecosystem and how to position OmniSci in relation to other technologies that we work with.
    • Scout new technologies and partners that help complete the workflow for customers.
    • Providing excellent Customer Service, ensuring our customers and partners have the best experience possible in working with OmniSci and our platform.
    • Ability to proactively solve complex technical challenges related to the OmniSci suite of products, and provide architectural guidance related to big data analytics.


    • 5+ years supporting Federal, US National Security and DoD Intelligence customers in a sales engineer or similar pre-sales role.5+ years supporting partners and Federal Systems Integrators who work on various National Security Programs including Military Intelligence.
    • Previous experience working as a BI Analyst or Data Analyst working with data analytics is essential.
    • Experience and track record of successfully selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers; includes proven skills identifying key stakeholders, winning value propositions, and compelling events.
    • Strong working knowledge of SQL for query optimization and data model design is essential.
    • Hands-on experience with Linux file system.
    • Familiarity and experience with common BI and data exploration tools.
    • Understanding of complete data analytics stack and workflow, from ETL to BI and analytics tools (Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, Power BI, etc.).Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
