About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Full-stack Engineer with a focus on backend development. Proactive, product-minded individuals who are enthusiastic about crafting impactful and scalable software products will thrive at Omnisend. You would join the Audience team that helps ecommerce businesses to make marketing messages personal by providing their customer insights and effective targeting capabilities.

The Audience team is responsible for:
- Customer data platform - a centralized location for collecting and analyzing all contact data and their shopping behavior.
- Segmentation engine - allows the creation of different customer groups based on contact properties and behavior.
- Pre-built segments - a selection of segments created using the best e-commerce marketing practices. This means our users can be something other than marketing experts to maximize the benefits of our product.

What you’ll do @Omnisend:

    • Contribute significantly to product development decisions
    • Design, develop, and test features
    • Resolve technical challenges for seamless system functionality and optimal performance
    • Maintain features with effective monitoring, logging, and alerting
    • Share best practices with team members

We expect that you’ll bring:

    • Hands-on experience (5+ years) implementing and maintaining scalable, highly available, high-load systems
    • Customer centricity - putting the customer at the core of all business decisions and actions
    • Ideally, experience with Golang or alternatively proficiency in any backend programming language with the willingness to learn Golang
    • Experience with React or any equivalent framework with willingness to learn React
    • Familiarity with modern software build pipelines and tools
    • Proficiency in NoSQL and SQL database, with willingness to learn MongoDB, BigQuery, PostgreSQL
    • Experience with real-time distributed messaging tools, like NSQ, Pub/Sub
    • Working experience with any cloud provider (at Omnisend we use Google Cloud Services)
    • Experience with event-based architecture
