About the Company
Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We are the first (and so far, only) company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.

About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Strategic Opportunities and Chief of Staff to the CEO, a role designed for an all-round distinctive athlete at the intersection of traditional finance, tech (blockchain) and compliance. This position is not just about having exceptional people skills but also about possessing a profound understanding of how to orchestrate continuous alignment in a fast-growing organization in an even faster-evolving space. This Director of Strategic Opportunities and Chief of Staff to the CEO role will be a key thought partner to our founder and management team, collaborating closely to action on strategic initiatives. This is a critical and influential role that will facilitate a wide range of initiatives, ranging from tactical program management to leading and delivering cross-functional priorities. This position requires extensive cross-group coordination at all levels, strong product and business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build compelling executive-level presentations and long-form narratives.

What your responsibilities will be:

    • Lead special projects for areas the CEO personally oversees by partnering with stakeholders within and outside of Ondo, including (but not limited to) leaders in Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Finance and Business Development.
    • Serve as a swiss army knife for solving any problem.
    • Prep the CEO for all key engagements and decisions, and when needed act as his stand-in.
    • Proactively resolve problems, and deal with issues before they get to CEO.
    • Develop compelling content and narratives for the CEO for internal and external consumption (company presentations, investors presentations, external interviews and appearances, key meetings etc.).
    • Serve as a cultural touchstone for the team, advising the CEO and leadership on habits, rituals, programs, and other ways to nourish and build the desired team culture.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership, elevating insights and analysis on company operations, key management decisions and other areas.

What we are looking for:

    • BA / BS degree or equivalent practical experience
    • 4+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, Private Equity and/or in a business operations, strategy or product role at a high growth technology company
    • Strong analytical, and problem solving and interpersonal skills
    • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment
    • Demonstrated interest in crypto and experience with onchain applications

It would be great if you have:

    • Asset management or banking experience.
    • Product management or marketing experience.

What we offer:

    • Competitive compensation including salary, tokens, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — we're well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation
    • Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO)
    • Small remote-first team — you'll be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and BD practices
    • A+ colleagues — our leadership team includes alumni from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets, McKinsey, Blackrock, Millennium and Bridgewater
    • Best-in-class investors — we are proud to be backed by leading funds and strategics (incl. Founders Fund, Pantera, GoldenTree, Coinbase, and CoinFund) and angels (incl. founders of AngelList, Anchorage, and Aave)
