We are looking for a Product Marketing Lead professional who specializes in positioning, product and offline marketing, brand, and events.  The ideal candidate will be able to creatively connect the dots between global social issues -- climate change, social inequality, and disaster relief -- and how our platform can help our customers to solve these issues.  

The ideal candidate also will be able to market a nitty-gritty tech story around machine learning, artificial intelligence, and hazard modeling as well as help to humanize our brand.  The role is based in Palo Alto and reports into the Head of Marketing and Communications.



Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the company’s overall product positioning and product marketing efforts;
    • Be an integral and critical member of a cross-functional team, working hand-in-hand with the CEO, the Engineering team, and Business Development to craft product positioning and key messaging for the One Concern platform, taking into account the product roadmap as well as any relevant factors from the external marketplace / landscape;
    • Help conduct or lead market research, as needed, that offers insights into the attributes and needs of existing and potential customers. Use this research and other relevant data to help Product Management and Business Development to identify opportunities and/or gaps in our product roadmap and help author new business requirements, when appropriate;
    • Be the provocateur that pushes the envelope with creative new ideas on how to engage our audiences;
    • Define and execute new product/feature launches and/or marketing campaigns in close coordination with an internal cross-functional team including Business Development, Customer Success, Emergency Management, Government Relations, and the broader Marketing and Communications team;
    • Help drive content development including but not limited to product messaging and benefits, tech blogs, white papers, case studies, social posts, email copy and videos;
    • Track and interpret product and marketing analytics and suggest improvements or revised marketing strategies, where relevant;
    • Ensure that our purpose and mission are conveyed in all brand touchpoints;
    • Manage internal and external resources, as appropriate.

Key Requirements

    • Mission-driven mindset;
    • 8 - 10 years of marketing experience with a strong preference around positioning, brand marketing, and product marketing;
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, comfortable presenting and delivering training to groups;
    • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field;
    • Master's’ Degree or higher, preferred;
    • Experience in AI and/r enterprise software;
    • A strong professional network of meaningful relationships;
    • Client and agency experience;
    • Experience outside of the Bay Area or the US;
    • Cool under pressure; and
    • A true team player
