Aglet is powered by Onlife, a bold company and vision dedicated to inspiring the world to Play Life via a series of gamified overlays of our real, location based, context-rich lives, as we live them. We think we’ve only scratched the surface of evolving our augmented lives - starting with sneakers and streetwear. We believe that “the street” is where the community is - and today, the street is in games. We consider our current app only “gamified.” Our next steps will lead Aglet to provide vastly deeper challenges, storylines, and exhilaration from collection, trading, and creating.

We are a fully remote, creative team distributed around the globe looking for novel ways to bring the metaverse to life.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join our newly created Platform Engineering team to work on greenfield projects.  

You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and oversight of the technical and engineering activities of a team of developers delivering on the Onlife platform vision. This is the platform that underpins the, and you will be helping us provide the behaviours needed for other games to leverage our blockchain and geospatial capabilities.

    • As an Engineering Manager you will work in an international cross functional team with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Data Engineers to devise innovative solutions that will have a huge impact on the future of the business. 
    • Working with the team to provide effort and budget estimates
    • Supervising the work of development team/s
    • Orchestrating work across multiple development teams
    • Planning and executing delivery plans on-time and within budget
    • Working with cross-functional team to design viable and deliverable products
    • Coaching and leading developers to optimise their productivity and learning
    • Stakeholder management (both internal and external)


    • Several years experience managing delivery teams
    • Several years experience incepting teams and their delivery processes
    • Several years experience using Agile methodologies
    • Several years experience managing stakeholders (internal and external)
    • Less comprehensive experience using post-agile methodologies
    • Demonstrated experience managing developer productivity and learning
    • Excellent communicator
    • Full working rights in Australia


    • Experience in Java or Java Virtual Machine language highly desirable
    • Experience in Blockchain highly desirable
    • Experience with games design and development desirable
