Who You Are
Ontic is seeking an experienced Event Marketing Manager to execute our corporate event strategy and execution. This role is based in Austin, TX (hybrid).
You are an execution-focused event marketing professional with a passion for creating impactful live event experiences. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and have a proven ability to plan, manage, and execute event programs that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and client engagement. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple events simultaneously. You excel at collaboration, working cross-functionally with internal teams, partners, and vendors to deliver best-in-class event experiences.
As a critical member of the Marketing team reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will partner closely with the Sales, Client Success, Operations, and Services teams and contribute your knowledge, perspective, and expertise to Ontic’s overall go-to-market strategy, planning, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Event Logistics and Planning
- Develop and execute Ontic’s Tier 1 third-party events program — including trade shows, off-site experiences, and sponsorships — from end to end. This includes shaping event strategy while owning budget management, logistics, event promotions, internal attendee briefing, lead generation goals, staffing, sales enablement, and post-event reporting
- Play a key role in the production of Ontic Summit, our annual flagship event, including event logistics, promotions, internal communications and enablement, parties, hotel rooming lists, gifting, activations, and more
- Ideate and produce new event formats, such as roadshows and user groups, as business needs arise and own the promotional strategy and registration goals
- Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and contractors to deliver high-quality event experiences
- Event Strategy and ROI
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Client Success teams to ensure event strategy aligns with company goals and contributes to new logo pipeline growth, client retention, and expansion
- Measure and analyze event performance and ROI, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Develop and execute event promotion plans across email, social media, and digital channels — including writing compelling copy and collaborating with design, marketing, and sales teams to drive registration and engagement
- Provide event brand oversight to other teams, including Field Marketing, to ensure all virtual and in-person events align with Ontic’s brand standards, messaging, and event experience guidelines — delivering a consistent and high-quality brand presence across every touchpoint
- Maintain strong relationships with industry organizations, partners, and event organizers to maximize Ontic’s presence and impact at key events
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of event marketing experience, preferably in B2B software
- Proven track record of owning event execution and driving measurable business impact
- Experience with Marketo (or a similar marketing automation platform) and Salesforce is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up, budget management, and timeline management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling event messaging for internal and external audiences
- Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-starter who works independently and drives projects forward with minimal oversight
- Experience managing vendors and collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams
- Passion for applying creativity to marketing programs and events
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
- Prepared to share relevant experience and demonstrate how your skills will drive success in this role
$100,000 - $105,000 a year
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes a bonus plan, equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Ontic. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
