Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of over 8+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of successful management experience leading SRE teams. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, security, and performance of our systems, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
 
This position will report to the V.P. of Engineering Permitting and Licensing at OpenGov.
 
Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a high-performing SRE team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Define and implement best practices for site reliability, scalability, performance optimization, and managing costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment, operation, and monitoring of production systems.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans, and lead the team in effectively resolving incidents to minimize downtime.
• Implement and drive the adoption of automation tools and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide strategic direction and technical guidance for the team, keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Implement best practices and regulations related to security and compliance of the service.
 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, with a proven track record of managing SRE teams for at least 5 years.
• Strong experience with Enterprise SaaS environments.
• Proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable systems.
• In-depth understanding of incident response, monitoring, and alerting practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
• Proven success in implementing and managing Site Reliability Engineering in a large-scale, distributed environment.
• Experience working with Azure Cloud and Kubernetes is preferred.
