The Accounting Manager will be responsible for driving monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, and supporting management reporting. This individual will be responsible for facilitation of the close process and owning the consolidation process. The Accounting Manager will own Stock Based Compensation and Internally Developed Software accounting processes, will support accounting integration of newly acquired entities, assist with Acquisition Accounting, and will own relevant accounting policies and procedures. This individual will have a solid background in accounting systems, will be a CPA or in the process of becoming a CPA. This role will also work cross functionally across the organization.
Responsibilities:
•Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and completion of financial reporting deliverables, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis and consolidation of the relevant data into a reporting package for CFO and parent company reporting
•Own the consolidation process in NetSuite, including intercompany eliminations and cost allocations
•Support acquisition due diligence and subsequent acquisition integrations, and also assist with acquisition accounting
•Own Stock Based Compensation accounting and lead accounting implementation of a new equity management platform working cross functionally with technical accounting, legal, systems and HR teams
•Drive and continue refining Internally Developed Software accounting process working cross functionally with engineering and finance teams
•Develop, implement and maintain accounting policies, internal controls and procedures to support close requirements to efficiently support business scale
•Collaborate cross-functionally with and support our business partners and FP&A by providing financial insights and relevant reporting
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
•BA degree in accounting required
•CPA or working towards becoming a CPA required
•6+ years of experience is required
•Public accounting (Big 4 accounting firm) experience is preferred
•Experience with Tech industry and/or high growth environment is required
•Experience with NetSuite is preferred
•Experience in accounting for Equity Awards, Internally Developed Software, Business Combinations is preferred
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
•Good understanding of financial statements and external reporting required
