OptionMetrics is seeking an IT Support Analyst will oversee a diverse portfolio of IT systems and assets, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across the organization. The successful candidate will manage the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure—from routine upgrades and timely fixes to proactive maintenance strategies that keep our technology ahead of the curve. Armed with a deep knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network maintenance, the ideal candidate will stay current with industry trends to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly, while anticipating future needs and implementing scalable solutions. Moreover, the IT Support Analyst will serve as a trusted resource, delivering expert support and guidance to employees to swiftly resolve critical issues. Their proactive approach will help minimize downtime and enhance overall productivity.
This position requires working on-site at our NYC location in a hybrid capacity.
Objectives:
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements.
- Enable faster and smarter business processes and employee productivity.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert supporting Windows, and widely used software and applications, such as Microsoft Office365, and Zoom.
Responsibilities:
1. User Support & Troubleshooting
Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and SaaS applications. Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and escalate when necessary.
2. Identity & Access Management
Administer Azure Active Directory (accounts, groups, MFA, conditional access).Manage join/leave processes (onboarding, off boarding, access rights).
3. Endpoint & Device Management
Configure and enforce policies via Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM).Create and maintain standard desktop images for consistent deployments. Track hardware inventory, software usage, and license compliance.
4. Security
Ensure timely patching and update deployments across all devices. Manage endpoint security including antivirus/anti-malware tools.
5. Networking & Collaboration Tools
Manage Wi-Fi access points, SSIDs, and connectivity troubleshooting. Set up and maintain conference room AV systems (displays, cameras, microphones, Zoom/Teams integration).Provide live support for meetings and video conferences to ensure smooth execution.
6. Operations & Process
Maintain asset lifecycle documentation (procurement → assignment → retirement). Write and update IT knowledge base and self-service guides.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
3–5 years in IT support or desktop engineering.
Strong knowledge of Azure AD and Microsoft Intune.
Experience with desktop imaging, policy management, and patch compliance.
Proficiency in hardware/software inventory management and license tracking.
Hands-on knowledge of Wi-Fi network management (APs, controllers, SSIDs, security).
Experience with conference room technology (AV setups, video conferencing platforms).
Strong with Windows 10/11, macOS, and business SaaS platforms (Office 365, Slack, Zoom, Teams).
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science.
- Certification is a plus: CompTIA, Google, CCNA, ITIL.
