As our first Head of People, you will have the interesting, challenging and rewarding responsibility of establishing and building a People function to support our growth ambitions by attracting, retaining and developing exceptional talent.
You will work closely together with the Senior Leadership Team to create and implement a People strategy that will underpin and support the overall company strategy and vision. You will build a people function that fosters high performance and collaboration, whilst instilling a sense of togetherness and team spirit.

Your responsibilities

    • Build and develop our people strategy and processes covering all key employee lifecycle stages: organizational design, talent acquisition, talent management, onboarding, performance management and feedback processes, learning and development, employee engagement, retention and succession planning, terminations and alumni engagement
    • Ensure simple, smart and compliant people processes are in place and working smoothly to provide a great employee experience from start to end
    • Lead People operations to support and administrate compensation and benefits schemes, enable organizational and role specific changes and take ownership of our HR tech stack to ensure it meets the needs of the company and our employees
    • Own our people data, making sure our HRIS is kept up to date and that HR information is made available to inform decision making
    • Be an advocate for inclusive leadership and promote employee wellbeing, ensuring we meet regulatory and moral obligations to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all employees

What we look for in you

    • Minimum 8 years relevant experience in a managerial HR position, preferably with at least 2-3 years working in a start-up
    • Degree in Human Resources or equivalent higher education and training
    • Superior coaching and facilitation skills, working both with individual and groups
    • You thrive on a fast-paced environment and comfortably move between being hands on to strategic and enjoy shouldering a wide range of responsibilities
    • Fast learner with the ability to quickly grasp the essence of a problem and identify solutions
    • Proven project management skills with an analytical mindset and the ability to create and present proposals in a compelling manner
    • Tech-savvy and experienced in selecting, implementing and optimizing HR tools, with an interest in new HR technologiesSolid grasp of Swiss employment and  labor law
    • Fluent English (company language)

Bonus points

    • Payroll specialist knowledge (in-house and outsourced)
    • Swiss social security system knowledge
    • Knowledge of other European countries’ employment and labor laws, preferably Germany, Spain, Portugal
    • Fluent German
