About Us
OTI Lumionics is developing advanced materials—by design—using quantum simulations, machine learning and real-world testing in pilot production. We are currently focused on key enabling materials for OLED displays that will be used in next-generation consumer electronics and automotive. Our advanced electrode materials, and associated manufacturing technology, are being used to build transparent displays and lighting. We work closely with our partners and customers to design new materials that are mass-production ready. Using our computational Materials Discovery Platform, we are able to rapidly iterate new materials, allowing fast turn around time to meet our customers’ needs.

Primary Responsibilities
·       Design and conduct experiments to develop new OLED materials and technologies
·       Perform tests (including but not limited to OLED device performance and material characteristic tests) on samples fabricated to gather data
·       Analyze and present experimental data to summarize key project findings or identify new objectives for the subsequent experiments
·       Operate R&D equipment
·       Maintain the laboratory and equipment in a functional state to provide necessary services
·       Perform all tasks in accordance with established Safe Work Practices and Standard, Operating Procedures.
·       Must have the ability to work all shifts (e.g. morning and evening shifts, weekend shifts, and holiday shifts)

·       Master or PhD Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Skills
·       Critical thinking skills
·       In-depth understanding of vacuum systems
·       Knowledge of thin film science   
·       Experience of one or all the following thin film fabrication techniques, Physical Vapor Deposition (thermal evaporation, sputtering, e-beam evaporation, etc.) and Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition
·       Ability to process and analyze data, and identify trends and relationships between different parameters
·       Excellent organizational, time management, analytical and follow-up skills
·       Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
·       Cleanroom Experience
·       The following will be considered as an asset
·       Cleanroom, Vacuum Equipment operating experience in an industrial setting 
·       Experience with OLED Fabrication 
·       Experience with thin film Solar Cell Fabrication 
·       Experience with thin film Opto-Electronics Fabrication 
·       Experience with Microelectronics 
·       Knowledge of working principles of OLED, thin-film engineering, and physical vapor deposition 
·       Secondary Language is a strong asset: Chinese, Japanese, Korean
