Welcome to Our Place. We believe that sharing a home-cooked meal is the very best way to connect. That’s why we create products that simplify home-cooking; it’s why we celebrate traditions with families given, chosen, and found; and it’s why we share those stories with you, directly from the people and places where they originate.
We’re looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented Packaging Designer to join our team in Los Angeles. This role is critical in developing and executing packaging designs that reflect our brand’s aesthetic while meeting the functional needs of both DTC and wholesale channels.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Packaging, Industrial Design, Product, Creative, and Business Development/Wholesale teams to deliver beautiful, functional, and production-ready packaging solutions.
As our retail and wholesale business continues to grow — especially with major partners like Costco — we are increasingly prioritizing strong product visualization capabilities. While not a core requirement, product rendering skills are a significant plus for this role and will position the right candidate for even greater impact across the organization.
We believe some of the best ideas happen when we’re together! Right now, teams come into our beautiful new West LA headquarters on Tuesdays and Thursdays to collaborate and connect. In the future, we may ask teams to come in more often — because some things are just better in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited about being part of an in-person, collaborative culture and is comfortable with the flexibility that comes with a growing, hybrid workplace.
What you’d do at Our Place
- Design and execute high-quality, print-ready packaging assets, including corrugated shippers, folding cartons, labeling, collateral, and retail signage/displays.
- Develop dielines and apply advanced knowledge of deco treatments, Pantone color systems, foil stamping, embossing, UV coatings, and other specialty finishes.
- Prepare mechanicals and final production files with accuracy and attention to production standards.
- Create 3D packaging mockups and packaging renderings to support internal presentations, wholesale decks, and production approvals.
- (Strong Nice-to-Have) Support product-level renderings for wholesale, marketing, and sales materials — particularly valuable as our Costco and broader wholesale business expands.
- Retouch and manipulate imagery (product and lifestyle) as needed for packaging and collateral.
- Research market trends, competitor packaging, and consumer behaviors to inform innovative design solutions.
- Present concepts, prototypes, and design solutions to cross-functional stakeholders for feedback and approval.
- Participate in proofing, press checks, and color approvals to ensure final production matches design intent.
- Collaborate directly with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to troubleshoot, optimize, and refine packaging designs.
Who you are

- Strong understanding of dielines, structural design, materials, production specs, and print techniques.
- Familiarity with print production, including CMYK, Pantone, foil, varnishes, emboss/deboss, spot UV, and structural packaging design.
- Proficiency in photo editing, image manipulation, and retouching.
- (Strong Nice-to-Have) Experience with product rendering — the ability to generate photorealistic product visuals for use in wholesale decks, marketing, and internal presentations is highly valued.
- Excellent organization skills with a strong eye for detail and precision.
