The Role

We’re searching for a whip-smart, energetic, and extremely organized Content Marketing Manager to join our team and fill a crucial gap in our fast-growing Marketing team. We are looking for somebody who loves collaboration, is prone to action, can manage many moving parts with agility and elegance, and can think and improve processes on the fly.

You are always welcome to contribute content, but it won’t be a primary function of this role. Rather, it’s about making our contributors shine and creating a cohesive content brand for Sales Hacker. This is a fast-paced, newsroom type publication. If you love The Skimm and Daily Brew and would like to be part of that kind of adrenaline-filled publication, you will love this role. 

This role is responsible for ensuring Sales Hacker content is of the highest quality, in collaboration with our partners and contributors. You’ll need a passion for salespeople, quick problem-solving, and a love of content marketing and client service. The audience we serve is salespeople looking to improve themselves and their work, so understanding news and market trends in the sales world is critical to this role.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

    • Publishing 5 world-class content pieces per week, at a minimum length of 1,000 words 
    • Managing content from idea to implementation to reporting: you are responsible for the 360 content production process in all its glory
    • Working with some of the world’s most exciting brands and thought leaders as the “content concierge” for the Sales Hacker partner program, which includes day-to-day communications with partners, and any partner deliverables like webinars and blog posts
    • Able to balance pace and polish, producing beautiful content on a deadline 
    • Providing white-glove service and direction to the best possible results for partners who engage with us for webinar and content programs
    • Proactively identifying new opportunities and efficiencies in the partner management process
    • Editing content so it is top-notch and in-line with our quality guidelines
    • Collaborating with the rest of the marketing team to maximize the impact of partner contributions across all channels
    • Optimizing old content for improved keyword rankings, and capturing new ranking opportunities with new content

Basic Qualifications

    • You have 3+ years of marketing agency, media experience, or content role at a high growth SaaS company (B2B preferred)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience in content marketing, including strategy and distribution/promotion
    • Obsessed with ranking for more and better keywords with on-page SEO
    • You know how to make blog content interesting and impactful
    • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
    • High sense of urgency and organization
    • Experience managing the work of others
    • Basic SEO and optimization skills are highly desirable, will train for the right person
    • Bonus if you have experience using Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, Yoast, Google Search Console, Asana, WordPress, and BuzzSumo
