Our Passenger Flow Traffic Monitoring solution is trusted by the world’s leading airports and train stations across four continents, including the most renowned hubs celebrated for their operational excellence and exceptional passenger experience. Context
The Real Time Software team is one of the four teams of the R&D. It works closely with the Algorithm team and its main responsibility is to design, develop and deliver the Perception Software which is then integrated in the complete Outsight Shift solution.
The Perception Software is a real time Software that is processing the LiDARs signals to provide outputs for the rest of the Outsight Shift solution (e.g. tracked object positions, segmented point clouds, environments maps, …).
It is responsible for the entire Perception Software which is made of several interconnected modules (C++ signal processing, API modules, connectivity protocols, debug and monitoring modules, lidar controllers, …) that are packaged as containers and operated using Kubernetes. One of its major mission is to transform the algorithms defined by the Algorithm team into a productized and optimized Software that takes into account the system constraints.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a team manager with at least 10 years of experience capable of organizing and animating a team of 6 to 10 engineers.
The engineering manager will split his time into complementary activities
- lead the team to design and implement a solid and efficient Perception Software.
- define roadmaps with clear responsibilities and deliverables for team members and maintain the corresponding schedule.
- define and enforce a solid Software development process with clear policies (guidelines, Jira issues, test coverage, …)
- ensure that the Software documentation is maintained and organized so that looking at the code or discussing with colleagues is not necessary to know what is implemented.
What are the requirements for the role?
On top of its ability to drive a team with a solid culture of process, quality, planning and documentation without being unnecessarily picky, the candidate must have strong technical experience:
- proven track record in C/C++ development of embedded or real time software.
- experience in Software architecture.
- knowledge of technologies such as containers (Dockers, …) and Kubernetes is a strong plus.
- knowledge of GPU and ML/Deep learning inference library and tools is a plus.
