We are a reputable accounting business based on the Gold Coast, Australia. We are looking for a diligent and experienced Business Services Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Australian corporate tax laws and business services. This position will play a crucial role in managing our client's financial portfolios and ensuring compliance with the Australian Taxation Office regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance and Advisory:
- Preparation and review of corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian tax laws.
- Stay abreast of the latest tax legislation and advise clients on any potential impacts.
- Senior experience with Xero ledger/tax and Xero work papers is necessary.
- Experience working with budgets, time efficiency and timesheets
- Be able to finalise jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Experience in preparing financials and tax returns for businesses only.
- Be able to perform tax planning duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CA qualification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with a focus on Australian corporate tax and business services.
- Excellent knowledge of Australian Taxation Law and Australian Accounting Standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
