Qualifications: The Sales Estimator – Commercial Construction must have and maintain:

    • Estimating experience in the Construction industry
    • Sound personal presentation.
    • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
    • Effective written presentation skills.

Liases with:

    • State Manager,
    • Sales Team, 
    • Project Managers,  
    • Finance team, 
    • Other employees as required

Responsibilites: (Including but not limited to the following general statements describing the nature and level of work expected)

    • Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products from the Raw Material stage and manufacturing stage to the selling price.
    • Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Australian Standards that may be relevant to the products, e.g. AS/NZS1891, AS/NZS1657, AS/NZS5532, AS/NZS4488, etc
    • Review and analyse tender specifications, drawings and relevant conditions where necessary.
    • Create accurate drawings for quotation submissions using Bluebeam software
    • Review and prepare tender quote submissions to sales team.
    • Maintain complete and accurate quote register records. 
    • Assist where required with projects of significance and special requirements particularly where related to growth opportunities.
    • Perform other such duties as required which are consistent with the employee’s skill and competence

    • Completes system design/drawings/layouts compliant with all required standards and instructions.
    • Submits accurate quotations for opportunities that meet Company guidelines.
    • Submits in excess of the minimum number of quotes per Company KPIs’
    • Well organised and participates effectively in relevant areas.
    • Demonstrates a sound understanding of market and displays customer service qualities commensurate with the position.
