Ovation is growing rapidly and is seeking a Head of Sales Data Services. This role will be responsible for driving growth and revenue in our data services division. A successful candidate will have experience selling data assets to pharma, biotech, analytics providers and payors. The Head of Sales will build and maximize revenue by optimizing sales pipeline, product positioning, and leveraging go-to-market best practices to deliver growth targets and expand the business.
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets and accounts
- Develop and execute strategic plans in order to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting strategic relationships to retain customers
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Leverage experience within the market to increase competitiveness and predict market shift and opportunities
- Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction
- Proven data sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets with pharma, biotech, analytics providers and payors.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven ability to drive the data sales process from plan to close
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct value of data products to end users
- Proven ability to build out a sales team by sourcing and developing talent
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Build and provide feedback into the product and sales knowledge base, methodologies and customer-facing collateral and roadmap
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
