Senior Compliance Manager (remote)

We are hiring a Senior Compliance Associate/Manager to join Oxygen’s growing Compliance and Risk team. This person will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and will assist in all compliance-related items across our current and future product offerings in credit/lending and deposit areas, for both consumer and business banking. As a small and burgeoning fintech startup, you’ll work closely with Oxygen’s Operations and Engineering teams, Oxygen’s BSA Officer, as well as with our issuing bank partners’ compliance teams. You will be tasked to create and improve compliance risk management solutions and processes, and will be directly involved in the creation and review of new products and features offered to our customers.

We’re looking for an individual who:

    • Has experience working in an entrepreneurial environment
    • Will bring consistency and structure to a newly developed organization through an improvement of the company’s Compliance Management System (CMS) and by creating detailed procedures and processes
    • Has a passion for regulatory compliance and risk management

Previous experiences and skills:

    • Minimum 7 years of experience in consumer banking, preferably in both lending and deposit products
    • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience managing multiple deliverables in a fast-paced, high volume environment
    • Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and thought-leadership
    • Experience managing and training other personnel
    • Capability of researching, interpreting and applying banking rules/laws/regulations, and industry best practices
    • CRCM certification is preferred

What you will do:

    • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and possess in-depth knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations related to the design and disclosure of consumer banking products, including but not limited to: Fair Credit Reporting Act (Regulation V), Truth In Lending Act (Regulation Z), UDAAP, Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (Regulation E), Truth in Savings Act (Regulation DD), and Privacy regulations
    • Oversee and develop internal documentation to provide compliance and risk controls for use by business and support functions for new and existing products, services, features and activities
    • Be in direct communication with our partner banks as we launch new products, modify existing features and remediate existing items
    • Investigate and respond to Better Business Bureau (BBB) and regulatory complaints
    • Develop a plan to monitor Oxygen’s products, processes, and systems to assess the effectiveness of the compliance program and to identify issues proactively – including first-line monitoring of customer support communication and social media dialogue
