P3 Veterinary Partners is seeking a HRIS Specialist to join our innovative team in a full-time capacity.

The successful candidate will serve as a steady, balanced resource focused on managing our HRIS system Workday, streamlining processes, driving functionality improvements and facilitating the day-to-day operations of the Payroll and HR system applications. This includes responsibility of the workflow process, understanding of the current and future state, and refining some of the broken processes to ensure accurate delivery, data integrity and reporting.

Working closely with the Director, People & Culture and the IT support, as the Workday specialist your deliverables include:

    • Working closely with the Workday team to ensure configuration of the system in aligned with the organization’s payroll and business processes.
    • Liaise with the business and functional leaders to identify, map, draft and configure business workflows in the system, ensuring the business units and users’ needs are aligned.
    • Providing Workday support on ongoing system configuration, technical expertise and testing across all Workday modules.
    • Executing system enhancements, including new functionality roll outs and modifications of existing functionality, integrations and performs in-depth tests to meet our business needs.
    • Onboarding new locations into Workday and loading employee data to ensure a smooth transition and experience for new team members.
    • Administering system security to ensure timely functionality for users at all levels.
    • Troubleshooting issues, resolve complex system problems, technical support, develop and manage complex workflow rules.
    • Acting as the first point of contact for employees and internal questions on Workday payroll and other implemented modules.
    • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the HRIS. Building custom reporting to support the analytical needs of the business.
    • Serving as the liaison between Workday and users and partners with HR and Payroll to develop and maintain documentation to train end-users to encourage adoption and usage across the company.
    • Collaborating within the Workday Community and area user groups to research and resolve issues and to proactively remain informed about Workday changes, alerts, and enhancements.
    • Other HRIS related duties and special projects as required.

The successful candidate will possess:

    • 2- 4 years of Workday or related HRIS system specific experience (including experience with Canadian payroll).
    • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems or related field.
    • High attention to details
    • Ability to problem-solve and analyze 
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills to enable presentation and development of training material
    • Experience in veterinary medicine is an asset.
