Your Role
We’re looking for a strategic and technically strong Senior Data Scientist with a proven background in E-commerce analytics and product attribution modeling. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing models that attribute user actions to product interactions and marketing channels, helping us better understand customer journeys and optimize product strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of multi-touch attribution models, customer segmentation, and product affinity scoring.
- Analyze customer behavior and user journeys across the E-commerce funnel using first-party and third-party data.
- Develop machine learning models to predict purchase likelihood, LTV, churn, and product recommendations.
- Work with product, marketing, and engineering teams to design experiments and track KPIs.
- Clean, aggregate, and model large-scale structured and unstructured data from various sources (web, app, CRM, etc.).
- Communicate findings through visualizations, dashboards, and presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of data pipelines and MLOps infrastructure in collaboration with Data Engineering.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in attribution modeling, causal inference, and customer analytics.
What You Need:
- Bachelors/ Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, preferably in E-commerce, retail tech, or digital marketplaces.
- Proven expertise in product attribution models, conversion path analysis, and marketing mix modeling.
- Proficient in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.) and SQL.
- Experience with ML libraries (XGBoost, LightGBM, TensorFlow, etc.).
- Strong grasp of statistical analysis, A/B testing, and causal inference techniques (e.g., propensity scoring, uplift modeling).
- Hands-on experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and version control tools (Git).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical insights clearly.
- Experience with real-time personalization or recommender systems.
- Familiarity with tools like dbt, Airflow, and BigQuery.
- Background in pricing, merchandising analytics, or inventory optimization.
