Palantir Path, Internship
Palo Alto, CA
We are now accepting applications for Summer 2020. Early application deadline is 22 September 2019 at 11:59PM PST. Final deadline to apply is 13 October 2019 at 11:59PM PST.
At Palantir, we're passionate about creating opportunities for all individuals to grow and succeed. We launched Palantir Path in 2017 to help students who are new to technology launch their careers, especially those from underrepresented communities who may not have had exposure to technical opportunities before college. We're excited to open applications for the summer 2020 Palantir Path cohort.
Palantir Path is an internship for sophomores and juniors who are early in their journeys as technologists. Path aims to help students bridge the gap between what they learn in school and what’s necessary to solve the real world’s ambiguous, complex problems. But Path isn’t your standard developmental internship. You won’t sit in a classroom with other interns all day or write code that doesn’t live beyond summer. Instead, you’ll work alongside full-time engineers and analysts, interacting with clients and making decisions that impact our business and our customers’ missions.
Within our walls lives a community of Palantirians made up of software engineers, entrepreneurs, teachers, military veterans, parents, classical musicians, aerospace experts and everyone in between ranging from self-taught coders to Ph.D. dropouts. All these individuals come together to build technology that transforms important institutions. You’ll be paired with a mentor who will help you tap into this community of peers and leaders to learn how to solve hard technical problems and think critically about how technology impacts our world. You’ll receive regular, actionable feedback from people who are dedicated to helping you grow and succeed. At the end of summer, with real-world experience under your belt, you’ll be ready to make the most of your undergraduate career and deftly tackle future engineering challenges.
Palantir Path is open to members of the Class of 2021 and 2022 who are pursuing a Bachelor's degree, or on track to transfer to one, and is intended for students who are early in their Computer Science studies. We especially encourage students from communities that are historically underrepresented in STEM to apply. This includes (but is not limited to) individuals from ethnic/racial minority groups, women, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
- Palantir Path is open to students studying in the United States who are on track to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in 2021 or 2022 - i.e. either currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program or on track to transfer to one.
- Applicants must intend to major in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Applicants must have completed fewer than half the courses required for their degree.
- Applicants must be available for a 10- to 12-week internship (May-August or June-September 2020) in either New York, Palo Alto, or Washington DC. The office location will be determined by company priorities and the applicant's skillset. (Palantir provides all interns with a monthly salary and housing.)
