A World-Changing Company

At Palantir, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. We partner with the most important institutions in the world to transform how they use data and technology. Our software has been used to stop terrorist attacks, discover new medicines, gain an edge in global financial markets, and more. If these types of projects excite you, we'd love for you to join us.

The Role

Palantir Technologies' Proposal and Capture Strategy Team, known internally as the Wordsmiths, seeks a versatile writer and project manager to win new public sector opportunities in the UK and across Europe and the APAC region.

Wordsmiths work closely with Palantir's engineering, business development, and legal teams to articulate Palantir's value proposition on a wide range of topics. We craft compelling prose to explain how our technology addresses critical issues faced by government agencies. Examples of written outputs include strategic and technical analyses of complex IT procurements for internal audiences, as well as detailed responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) / requests for tenders (RFTs) for external audiences.

In addition to writing, Wordsmiths support or lead a range of business development, capture management, and proposal management efforts. This includes qualifying new opportunities, partnering with business development counterparts to identify the most effective pursuit strategies, and ultimately leading teams to produce winning proposals.

This role is an opportunity to embed deeply in a unique company. Palantir is fast-paced, and you will be expected to make decisions independently by weighing many needs and priorities. The role and its surrounding organisation are not rigidly defined, so it is important that you can navigate an unstructured environment. We are looking for mission-driven teammates who can jump into any project with enthusiasm.

Core Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with counterparts in engineering, legal, sales, and leadership teams to shape strategy for international government outreach and shepherd engagements from initial meeting to contract signing, including all written communications and proposals.
    • Identify, research, and qualify opportunities in collaboration with the broader business development, engineering, and executive teams.
    • Serve as primary author and project manager on market research, RFI, and RFP responses.
    • Develop deep familiarity with Palantir's software platforms and how they can be used to solve a wide range of real-world problems.
    • Communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

What We Value

    • Ability to articulate technical concepts and differentiators through concise and compelling written and verbal communication. Additional ability to communicate these topics through visual and information design, including creating original graphics, is an asset but not required.
    • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work effectively while navigating an evolving, fast-paced work environment.
    • Strong commercial acumen, including assessing competitive position and advising business development teams on how to best proceed.
    • In-depth knowledge of government procurement, with the ability to plan and deliver capture strategies in line with various common purchasing routes.
    • Ability to occasionally travel internationally on short notice, depending on the project.

To Apply

    • Please submit a resume/CV using the "Attach Resume/CV" option on the Lever application page. Please also include a cover letter in the "Additional Information" text box.
