Permanent - Off Farm /
On-site
·         Bring your engineering experience to this unique opportunity
·         Join our team supporting over 20 dairy and livestock farms in Taupō
·         Competitive salary, health insurance and ongoing development included

If you’re in the Taupō area, currently an engineer or a problem solver with welding and agricultural experience, and looking for your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

The Opportunity
No two days are the same at Central Farm Services (CFS). The workshop is an industry leader in providing engineering repairs and fabrication of agricultural solutions to Landcorp Pāmu farming operations and external farming customers. One day you might be repairing a feedout wagon, the next fabricating something new at the workshop, then fixing a problem on farm at the cowshed with a mobile service ute.

Key responsibilities include:
·         Designing and testing solutions that meet our clients’ needs.
·         Managing and performing repairs and maintenance of a wide range of farm equipment.
·         Communicating with farm managers and CFS staff to create the desired outcome.

About You
You will have proven skills in the operation, maintenance, and repair of plant farm machinery, such as feedout wagons, trailers, and tractors.

You will have a “can do” attitude and know your way around different types of welding, be comfortable using a range of tools to think outside the box to complete tasks in a safe and accurate manner. If it’s broken, we want you to fix it!

You would need to have a strong customer service focus with a commitment to quality and safety and be self-motivated. Another important part of your role would be to support your fellow mechanics and engineers.

We use Aroflo software to manage our job scheduling and inventory, and you update this app on a tablet in “real time” so your tech-savvy skills will come in handy. Training is provided.
