Bassets Dairy Unit is looking for a new Dairy Assistant to join their team.
Located 10 minutes south of Westport, Bassets is a High Performing Farm, Most recently announced as Pāmu’s Top Dairy Farm for the 19/20 Season.
We milk 1080 Kiwi Cross Cows using a 60 bail rotary with ACRs and Milk Hub. Bassets is approximately 460 ha eff and 120 ha bush with rolling terrain and sandy soils. Recreational activities abound, both inside and outside the farm boundary.
To be successful in this role, you need to have a strong willingness to learn and offer an enthusiastic approach to all areas of work.
What we are looking for:
A positive attitude
Effective communication skills and a good sense of humour
1 years dairy farming experience
A willingness to learn and the ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
First class attitude to Health and Safety and Animal Welfare
Current NZ driver’s license
The role comes with a 3-bedroom house, the school bus route is at the end of the driveway and the location allows easy access to a wide range of recreational activities.
