Take on a leadership role managing the day-to-day running of Hanmer Farm – a breeding/finishing property located close to Hanmer township
 
The Opportunity
Do you have a passion for growing the land and people around you, this is an opportunity for an experienced Farm Manager or leader looking to take that next step.
 
You will manage Hanmer Farm in Hanmer Springs– the team of around three people, and the day-to-day operations of the farm.
 
You’ll have the full support of a Business Manager to help you settle into the role and assist in any areas where it’s needed such as financial reporting, planning, or pasture management.  Together you will work to deliver quality results.
 
We have a robust health and safety regime at Pāmu, and Hanmer has well maintained, up to date farm equipment.
  
You will be responsible for:
·         Managing feed, stock, and financial budgets in line with a robust business plan
·         Coaching and mentoring your team members to grow their capability
·         Coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations
·         Reporting regularly on performance and analysing data through ag tech systems
·         Managing risks and solving problems as they arise
 
The Farm
Hanmer Farm is a breeding/finishing property located close to Hamner township. It comprises approximately 16,000 stock units of sheep and beef 1400 ha’s of flat/undulating land.
 
With primary schooling located close by, the farm’s location offers an awesome opportunity to live and work in Hanmer, which is a fantastic village filled with many recreational & lifestyle activities.

You will bring excellent leadership capability, a willingness to learn new systems and you’ll value the same things we do, people, animals, and the environment.
 
You will also bring:
·         Extensive farming experience
·         Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
·         Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
·         Ability to use farm management technology systems and record keeping equipment
·         Effective time and people management skills
·         First class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Management
