The Opportunity
You will monitor live weight production and proactively manage pastures and farm maintenance and also help organise internal and external stock movements.  You will learn how to manage your own block and learn or develop your pasture and animal management skills.
This role also gives you the opportunity to get comfortable with Pāmu systems and processes, as you will learn and run your own Farmax file and record data into FarmIQ.
The Farm
Puketōtara Farm is operating an intensive store/finishing system, farming Friesian cross bulls across 950 effective hectares.  Puketōtara Farm is located 15 minutes from Kerikeri.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who has got a passion for farming, a high work ethic, and health and safety and animal management skills that are second to none.
You will also have:
·         A couple of good dogs.
·         An interest in technical and intensive farming practices with a focus on high production.
·         Proven pasture and animal husbandry skills.
·         Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
·         Strong planning and time management skills.
·         Restricted or full driver’s licence.
Due to our reporting requirements, you must be tech friendly to be happy in this role.  If you are tech friendly, we will upskill you on the systems.
The role comes with a 3-bedroom house on-farm, as well as ongoing training and personal development to help you reach your personal and career goals.
