If you have experience working with livestock and would like to take up a position on a Beef Farm, this could be the role you have been looking for. We are in the final phase of converting to a new cell grazing system.

This Shepherd General role is a great one for changing from a job in dairy to a job in livestock, or could suit somebody with experience as a Shepherd.

Titoki Station is an approximately 500 ha effective efficient beef systems farm, located 25 minutes northwest of Whangarei city. This property runs 2000 bulls in techno systems.  The farm’s convenient location to town means that it’s an easy drive for the supermarket, doctor, gym, library, etc.  And there are plenty of sports and recreational activities that are accessible here in Whangarei.

Ideally we would like to hear from candidates who have livestock experience.  Reporting directly to the Farm Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your knowledge in farm management systems as well as take advantage of learning and development opportunities provided by Pāmu.

The position comes with a three bedroom home that is close to three primary schools (between 5 and 15 minutes’ drive from the house) with a bus stop 200m away.  The local secondary school is in Whangarei (25 minutes’ drive).

You will bring:
·         Strong willingness to learn
·         Effective communication skills and common sense
·         Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised
·         Commitment to high standards of quality and safety
·         Current NZ driver’s license
·         A working dog with experience
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as ongoing training and personal development to help you reach your personal and career goals.
