The Opportunity
You will support the day-to-day direction and management of farm operations of the sheep, beef and dairy grazing side of the business.
 
A typical day could include:

·         Ensuring timely and accurate stock data is recorded and reported
·         Assisting the Farm Manager to ensure planning and farming operations are carried out
·         Capturing and maintaining farm data records through Farmax, Farm IQ etc
·         Optimising farm performance and improving processes
 
This role sits under a supportive Farm Manager who endorses career development by growing your knowledge and understanding of farm systems.
 
The Farm
Raurimu Farm is a 1,700 ha effective property, located 40km of Taumarunui and Ohakune. We carry 6000 ewes and 1,700 replacements, 600 Angus cows and some lambs as well as supplying lambs to a Pāmu fattening unit.  And summering 500 Dairy beef calves.
 
About You
You will be someone who plans for the future, has excellent communication and loves working with people and animals.
 
You will also have:
·         Proven experience in sheep and beef farming, weighing and reporting dairy grazing heifers
·         Passion and enthusiasm about all things stock management
·         Attention to detail for updating and maintaining records
·         Effective time and people management skills
·         Commitment to high standards of quality and safety
·         Full team of capable dogs - desirable
·         Current & full NZ driver’s licence
