Looking for a role that will build on your current skills and support you as you grow and develop?  Would you like to have good work-life balance with a 6/2 – 6/3 roster as part of a high performing dairy farm in Taupo?
We have a Dairy Farm Assistant role available on one of our highest performing dairy farms.  Milking 800 cows 50-50 split calving through a 54 bail rotary shed twice a day, there’s a lot going on at Ajax Dairy Unit.  This farm has a newly promoted farm manager and a strong supportive team.
This team operates as a whole – no one job is left only to one person.  Sharing knowledge and pitching in as well as having regular 1/1 time with the 2IC to develop your technical skills are a real plus on this property.  We feature a 6/2 roster for six months a year, and a 6/3 roster the other half of the year, and milk all throughout the year (including winter).  You’ll be encouraged to get involved with Primary ITO courses and will be given the time and schedule to enable you to complete them, as well as scope to apply your learnings on the farm.
We use a variety of farm vehicles here, including motorcycles and side by sides.  If you’re not confident on motorcycles, we are happy to train you up.
Pāmu believes in providing a safe work environment for their employees which means that you’ll be provided with all of your PPE from day one.  We have a strong culture of health and safety and expect that our successful candidate will lead by example with regards to safe work practices.
This role comes with a two-bedroom duplex home and school bus pick-up to quality local schools right at the farm gate.  Living in Taupo affords lots of opportunities for a range of recreational activities including fishing, and hunting.
We offer an attractive salary with additional benefits, as well as ongoing training and personal development to help you reach your career goals.
